Shounen or Shoujo?

MotherRussia brought this up to me earlier, but is Hetalia Shounen or Shoujo? I personally think it''s neither and it's just in the middle, you know? Like, it's just there xD What do you people think?

It's kinda a 'slice of life' type comic originally and seems to cater more to girls with the shounen ai possibly but it does seem quite nuetral

Yeah its probably the middle. You have your Shounen fights, additudes, and language, but its mostly all males (Ex. Ouran High, Fruits Basket) where the main characters are mostly guys with the occational female now and again. So more girls would be interested in it, its also flimsey and colorful (like on the title/endings, and when words are on the screen) So it appeals more to girls. I'm guessing the creator is a Girl, because i highly doubt a guy would be able to do this xD
